Mercy Foundation improves the economic status of individuals by awarding educational scholarships to underserved students and by sponsoring training and continuing education opportunities for health care professionals.
As a local leader in robotic surgery, The Mercy Robotic Surgery Center has a Laparoscopy, Simulation & Robotics (LaSR) Training Center. Surgical residents come to the LaSR Training Center to become proficient in the latest and most effective laparoscopy and robotic surgical techniques.
The Mercy Foundation offers many scholarships to those in high school and college such as the Sister Lucius Scholarship, Hegde Scholarship, Mahajan Sponsorship and Moody/Measley/Whitman Scholarship. Each scholarship has specific eligibility criteria. Scholarships are awarded to students studying a wide array of career fields, including those entering the medical field.
There are several funds to assist with the education of nursing and physician staff within Mercy. The Mercy Foundation supports many efforts to keep our medical staff abreast of the newest information in their field.
