Spiritual Well-Being

Mercy Foundation aids the Family Care Team and Spiritual Care Departments in their efforts to support our patients and their families through care planning and coordination, symptom management, spiritual guidance and bereavement support.

Spiritual Care

Spiritual Care

Mercy believes that your spiritual well-being contributes to your overall physical health. The Pastoral Care Department provides the services of professional chaplains who represent a variety of religions, cultures and age groups.

Healing Garden

Healing Garden

The Healing Garden originated to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Now the Garden continues to nurture those who seek solace and comfort. Purchase an item inscribed with your name and/or message for the Mercy St. Charles Healing Garden. Your gift of a brick or tree memorial will embellish a restful area for visitors and create a lasting mark for Mercy St. Charles Hospital.

Palliative Care

Palliative Care

At Mercy, we respect life at all stages, from expectant mothers, infants, children and throughout adulthood. Palliative Care provides compassionate and individualized care to anyone with a serious, life limiting illness to promote the best quality of life possible. Mercy offers family-centered and developmentally individualized care and support with specialized interdisciplinary teams.

Chapels

Chapels

Mercy is committed to healing the mind, body and spirit with a calm and nurturing environment. Patients and visitors are welcome to spend time in the beautiful, historic chapels at Mercy St. Anne, Mercy St. Charles and Mercy St. Vincent hospitals.  In a stressful environment, Mercy’s hospital chapels offer patients, visitors and employees quiet refuge for individual prayer, meditation or communal worship. People of all faiths and traditions are invited to Mercy’s worship and meditation spaces.

This is what we were meant to do.
