Mercy Robotic Surgery Center

Mercy Robotic Surgery Center

With the region's leading surgeons and the most advanced daVinci® technology, the Mercy Robotic Surgery Center expertly provides a wide range of robotic procedures for cardiac, urologic, thoracic, gynecologic, bariatric and general surgery patients close to home at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Mercy St. Charles Hospital and Mercy St. Anne Hospital. Instead of more invasive, traditional open or laparoscopic surgery, the daVinci® Surgical System allows our surgeons to skillfully perform surgical procedures with smaller incisions, less scarring and shorter recovery times so patients can return to the activities and people they love more quickly.

Telemedicine

Telemedicine

The Mercy Stroke Center serves as a national research site for trauma. The center houses a self-propelled robot that facilitates direct communication between stroke experts and neuroendovascular specialists at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and physicians at regional and rural hospitals across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. The device can send critical medical data to the remote specialist to provide a direct connection to the stroke and neuro care experts who are on-call 24 hours per day.  The remote-presence robot, RP7, can be controlled by a doctor from his/her office, home, or car through any computer device, even a smart phone, and commanded to roll on its own into any room in the emergency department.  It is changing the way medicine is practiced nationally and globally.

This is what we were meant to do.
