Frankie's Story

DIAGNOSIS

Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

MIRACLE STORY

Frankie was a typical one year old in March 2016, when an unusual mouth rash sent her to the doctor. Tests showed she had Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a condition where the rapid growth of abnormal white blood cells in the bone marrow interferes with the production of normal cells. This scary diagnosis turned the Peters family’s world upside down. After 8 months of chemotherapy, Frankie is doing well and has gained an extended family in the team at Mercy Health - Children’s.

FUN FACTS

Frankie loves dogs and bears and is always smiling and dancing.
